Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a wildlife conservancy located in Laikipia County, Kenya. It spans over 360 square kilometers and is home to a variety of African wildlife, including the “Big Five” game animals (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino).
The conservancy is well known for its conservation efforts, including the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, a chimpanzee sanctuary, and a program to protect the endangered Gravy’s zebra. Visitors can go on game drives to see the wildlife, as well as visit the various animal sanctuaries and learn about the conservation efforts.
In addition to wildlife viewing, Ol Pejeta Conservancy offers a range of activities for visitors, including guided walks, horse riding, night game drives, and even a visit to a local Maasai village. The conservancy also has various accommodation options, from luxury lodges to camping sites, allowing visitors to choose the type of experience that suits them best.

Visit the Sweetwater’s Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where you can see rescued chimps and learn about the conservation efforts to protect these animals. In the afternoon, take a guided bush walk to see smaller animals and learn about the ecosystem.
Take a morning game drive to see the wildlife at its most active. In the afternoon, visit the Endangered Species Boma to see rare and endangered animals, including Gravy’s zebras and black rhinos.
Take a full-day excursion to the nearby Mount Kenya National Park, where you can hike to see the stunning scenery and wildlife.
